This small table is inspired by Gordon Webster, an early 20th century stained glass artist. Webster made a similar small table with wood taken in exchange for stained glass work. It sat in Webster’s drawing room with a gramophone on top and a collection of classical records stored beneath.
The new table is a homage to the old.
Goodd Ltd was founded in 2008 by Brian Proudfoot and Thomas Russell and is based in Glasgow. As a design consultancy they focus on physical expressions, creating connections between brands, businesses, cultural institutions and their visitors. Goodd also frequently collaborate with artists. They include Martin Boyce, Cathy Wilkes, Toby Paterson, Nicolas Party and Joanne Tatham & Tom O’Sullivan to produce furniture collections, installations and interiors.
Uncontrollable Urge was set up in 1998 by Jonnie Wilkes and Toby Webster, and are based in Glasgow. The company expresses their joint interests in THINGS from graphics and products to interiors and gardens.
